Mommy Realist

I don't claim to be an expert, far from it in fact. I too have had my fair share of tough kid moments: the public temper tantrum, the poop disasters, and many servings of humble pie over the past four years. I don't serve exclusively organic food; I use disposable diapers; and I let them watch T.V. daily (gasp). I am a mom who does what she can to get by and enjoy the fun having two small kids brings. I am what I call a "Mommy Realist" and despite my short-comings, I strive each day to parent with love, kindness and patience.

I focus on the fun, try to let the craziness roll off my back and embrace the time I have with them, because I look into my daughter's eyes and know this too will pass. When she is ready for the next stage of independence, I fiercely acknowledge that I won't be. So, let it be known, my imperfections do not lay within the realms of love and devotion.

As I enter the world of blogging I am hoping to bring a relatable story to all moms. To stand beside those who do their best for their kids without judgement, and to share what I am learning as a SAHM. Moms, get ready for the good the bad and the glorious, day by day.
